Manchester United bosses feel ‘confident’ that a new bid for Jack Grealish – plus the chance to sign one of two players – will be enough to sign the Aston Villa star in January.
United have shown strong interest in the midfielder in recent months, including during the recent transfer window.
The 25-year-old was a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, before he signed a bumper new deal at Villa Park.
However, according to Todofichajes, the Red Devils’ interest in the player remains resolute. Indeed, Solskjaer and his club reportedly eye the England international as Paul Pogba’s ideal replacement.
France star Pogba has struggled for form in the last 18 months and, despite agreeing to extend his contract until 2022, reports have claimed that United are preparing for his exit next summer.
The latest speculation, meanwhile, claims that Villa want €70million (£63million) for Grealish. United, though, feel convinced that an offer of around €50million (£45million) will suffice.
What’s more, United reportedly have an ‘ace’ up their sleeve, in that they can offer two players to Villa.
Todofichajes claims that the Red Devils could allow Dean Henderson or Jesse Lingard to move to the West Midlands.
Goalkeeper Henderson is, at this stage, unlikely to move though, with Villa signing Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal. Indeed, the Argentine has proved a fantastic signing and has largely accounted for the club’s form.
Lingard, meanwhile, could look to resurrect his career with a move elsewhere in the Premier League.
The England international’s form has dipped since the 2018 World Cup and he has found himself frozen out of Solskjaer’s plans. What’s more, Tottenham were reportedly keen on him in the recent transfer window.

Jimenez confirms Man Utd interest
Meanwhile, Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has confirmed recent transfer interest from United.
The Mexico international enjoyed a magnificent run of form last season and, as such, there was talk that he could move away.
Reports linked United and Juventus with a move and Jimenez has now confirmed such interest.
