Sensational singer, Naira Marley has canceled the planned #EndSars protest which was scheduled to hold today.

Following Naira Marley’s announcement that the protest which would be devoid of violence would be conducted later today, the Nigerian police force intervened stating the complaints about the unprofessional conduct of some SARS officials are currently being addressed by the police force.  @officialnairam1 The Inspector General of Police wishes to inform Nigerian youths that their voices and complaints on the issues of unprofessional conducts by some SARS operatives have been heared very loudly and clearly.

In response, Naira stated the protest would no longer hold due to the current changes. However, Naira added that if there are no visible changes in one week, there would be another mass protest. He wrote: “We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now. As a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there’s no changes we will start a mass protest. #togetherwecan
