Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a £4.5million deal for a talented MLS right-back after beating Juventus to the player.
LA Galaxy defender Julian Araujo is regarded as one of the most promising talents to come out of America in recent years.
The 19-year-old made his breakthrough last season and is having another impressive campaign this time around.
Araujo is described as a modern-day full-back who defends aggressively but also enjoys making forward runs.
A report in the Sunday People over the weekend (as cited by AS) claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men had beaten Italian giants Juve to the player’s signature.
The report added that Spurs would land the youngster for around £4.5m at the end of the season.
That news as since been backed up by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur. He has stated (as cited The Spurs Web) that Tottenham are in the process of finalising the deal.

MLS star not exactly a need
Araujo is clearly regarded as a player for the future in north London, particularly after Spurs landed Matt Doherty over the summer.
It’s fair to say, however, that the former Wolves man has yet to show the form he did during his time at Molineux.
Indeed, Serge Aurier has largely been Mourinho’s first choice at right-back this term after a return to form.
Tottenham also have versatile youngster Japhet Tanganga to call on. To that end, they are well stocked in the position ahead of Araujo’s potential arrival.
