Tottenham are back in the market for a £25m striker dubbed an upgrade on Carlos Vinicius, while Liverpool are ready to let two attacking stars move on – all in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.

SPURS SWITCH BACK TO SERIE A STAR

Tottenham reportedly back in the market to sign a striker in January who is regarded as an upgrade on Carlos Vinicius.

Jose Mourinho was on the hunt for a new back-up forward over the summer and eventually landed Vinicius on loan from Benfica.

The Brazilian has mainly been utilised in the Europa League, but has hardly featured in the Premier League due to the outstanding form of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.

He scored his first two goals for the club in the European clash against Ludogorets, but was missing with an injury as Spurs were held to a 3-3 draw by LASK on Thursday evening.

Despite being at the club for the remainder of the campaign, with an option to buy, AS claims that Tottenham are back in for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The Poland hitman was believed to be Mourinho’s first choice before the arrival of Vinicius, but Spurs failed to get a deal over the line.

Milik has since been frozen out in Italy and claimed in October that he had “not been treated well” by Napoli.

The report claims that Spurs, Everton and also Atletico Madrid are still in the market for the 26-year-old, who scored 14 goals last season.

It is thought that a bid in the region of €27m (£24.3m) would tempt Napoli into selling, although it remains to be seen if Spurs will instead focus on the addition of a new centre-back instead.

Mourinho is currently doing without the injured Toby Alderweireld, while Davinson Sanchez has looked shaky in his performaances this season.

That puts more pressure on summer signing Joe Rodon to deliver. The Wales star is new to the Premier League but impressed against Chelsea on his full debut.
